When an investor asks a question, it searches through your materials and provides an instant, accurate answer with citations from your actual documents. The AI acts as a knowledgeable representative of your company — professional, accurate, and always citing its sources.

What file types are supported?

We support PDF, Word documents (.docx), Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx), PowerPoint presentations (.pptx), text files, and images. PDFs and Word documents work best for text extraction and AI analysis.

How do I upload documents?

Once logged in, go to the Documents section. You can drag and drop files directly onto the page, or click the upload button to select files from your computer. Documents are automatically analyzed by our AI after upload.

How do I invite investors?

Go to the Users section and click "Invite User." Enter the investor's email address and select their role (typically "user" for investors). They'll receive an email with a link to set their password and access your data room.

Can I customize how the AI responds?

Yes. You can set your company's sector, stage, and up to 5 key messages you want the AI to emphasize. You can also add custom instructions for tone, terminology, or topics to handle carefully. The AI will follow your guidance while always being accurate and citing sources.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, you can change your plan yourself at any time. In your data room, go to Settings → Plan & Billing and click "Manage Subscription" to open the Stripe billing portal, where you can upgrade, downgrade, update payment details, or cancel.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancel anytime from Settings → Plan & Billing → "Manage Subscription" (the Stripe billing portal). Your data room stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, a 30-day wind-down starts: investors lose access, but you keep read and export access the whole time, with three notices along the way. At the end of the 30 days, the room and every document in it are permanently deleted.

How do I update my payment method?

Go to Settings → Plan & Billing and click "Manage Subscription" to open the Stripe customer portal, where you can update your payment method and view invoices.

Is my data secure?

Each tenant's data is isolated — every query is scoped to your company, and access is role-based. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and every access decision — phase, download, view-only — is enforced server-side on every request. Our security page describes exactly what we do, and just as plainly, what we don't do yet.

What happens when my deal closes?

Keep your data room active for future rounds or due diligence requests, or cancel anytime — there are no long-term contracts. On cancellation, a 30-day wind-down starts with export available throughout and three notices along the way, then the room and every document in it are permanently deleted.
